MIXX Make Up and Hair: Kirsten’s Trial ~ October 2011 Wedding
Diciphering what a bride is actually looking for in terms of make up and hair, especially make up is tricky business. Kirsten admitted to being for a trial at a big league cosmetic company a few days earlier, but wasn’t feeling the orange foundation they left her with. :S
Describing it as heavy, I was leaning toward a more natural look for her. However, after she described that her only head piece would be 3 real bright blue orchid’s and her shoes were a green Christian Louboutin (OMG!) pair, I totally had to change plans.
She wanted colour and loved colour so that’s what we gave her. We alleviated her fear by custom colour matching her foundation, adding some soothing botanicals and extra sunscreen for her fair skin. She fell in love with our MIXX foundation and bought one on the spot. For her eyes, we added some shimmers of light and deep purple with a blue shimmer. We also custom blended our popular Marry Me Lipgloss, but with more pink this time to really keep the make up on the brighter side.
Kirsten’s dress is chiffon with flowers to the side, her hair was swept to the other side so both hair and dress can be featured. Most brides go for the long waves, but I actually feel the shoulder length hair suits Kirsten’s personality well – so no extensions needed for this bride.
